Georgia Annwell - Paintings

Georgia's show, Senior Artists of Marin, will be on exhibit at CMCM for the month. Her show includes 40 portraits of Marin artists in their 60's, 70's and 80's. Georgia will also be shooting her own short documentary about local senior artists during the reception. In 2005 Georgia began painting portraits while taking a class with Chester Arnold at the College of Marin. By the end of the class Georgia had completed several portraits of other senior artists, and she has not stopped painting portraits since then. When the Community Media Center of Marin opened its doors in 2009, Georgia applied her artistic abilities to video production and took a number of CMCM's classes. Georgia hopes her show will provide her with the opportunity to combine her work in painting and video production.
